Let’s talk about the excellent Black winemakers, spirit distillers, and beverage entrepreneurs who have brought to market products that we are proud to carry in our shop:

Robin and Andréa McBride co-founded one of the largest Black owned wine companies in the US. For more of their story and their monumental work lifting up other women of color in the business read our full profile. Pick up their luscious Red Blend or try their line of She Can wines in white or rosé today!

Chris Christensen is a self-taught Winemaker, founding Bodkin Wines in 2011 and has continued to push the envelope with high acid, low alcohol products rooted in wine science and craftsmanship ever since. In 2020 he partnered with Jenny and Francois to create affordable and natural Californian wines. All three of Chris’s Where’s Linus wines are sustainably made and delicious.

Awie Adolf knows wine. He worked his way up from farmer to Winemaker and has been producing amazing South African wines with Fairvalley for nearly three decades. His many years honing his craft show beautifully in this crisp Chenin Blanc and rich, round Pinotage.

After working as the Head Sommelier at some of the finest restaurants in the country, André Hueston Mack founded Maison Noir with the goal of making wine for the best restaurants in NYC. He has since expanded his operation nationwide. We are thrilled to carry his fantastic Love Drunk Rosé and OPP Pinot Gris.

Shaun Caleb oversaw the creation and installation of a new distilling system at El Dorado Rum, bringing the company’s 300 years of tradition into the future. He continues today as the Master Distiller creating incredible rums like this 3 year cask aged bottle.

The right glassware can be just as important as what is in the glass! Inspired by her grandmother Estelle and her love of antiquing, Stephanie Summerson Hall is creating stunning glassware in an array of colors. Described as “jewels for your table” these Estelle glasses will make every pour feel like a special occasion!
