Following the gastronomic journey of her dreams!
Born and bred New Yorker, Anna Vega spent close to a decade as an equities trader for investment house Bear Stearns and O’Shaughnessy Asset Management. In 2013, supervention and opportunity propelled her to leave Wall Street behind and dive into pursuing her raging passion for food and wine. After completing the Professional Culinary Arts Program at the International Culinary Center with a ‘Farm to Table’ concentration, she trained in Michelin star kitchens like Blue Hill at Stone Barns and Gramercy Tavern. Her gastronomic journey and obsession with alcohol drove her to complete an intensive sommelier program and is now a certified sommelier through the Court of Masters. Private chef work, wine and spirits consulting, conducting wine workshops for corporate and private audiences, and writing for various food/wine outlets, are all part of her current hustle. Never to shy away from new endeavors, Anna is now pursuing her advanced sommelier certification.
